We will focus on capturing a gentleman in real clothes doing real things, no dramatic poses, no toga-clad models, just good old-fashioned slumping, striding, and waiting in queues.  In this self-led session you can sketch our chap quickly and loosely, play with suggestions of movement with a few quick lines, and tame the chaos of crinkled fabric into something that actually looks like it’s been ironed.

This ‘happening’ is for anyone who wants to get better at drawing people, and maybe giggle at a few funny sketches along the way.  This is a self-led session with occasional guidance from Rose, please bring your own materials.

Alongside YMJ Artwork we run weekly drawing classes in our hometown of Berkeley. These classes run every week in four week terms and we cover a range of dry materials, techniques and subjects.

For more information including our new loyalty scheme, please get in touch via the form below or visit YMJ Artwork to book.

Step into a calm and creative space filled with the colours and freshness of spring.  In this self-led drawing session, you’ll choose from a beautiful selection of seasonal flowers and explore them at your own pace. There’s no formal teaching, just gentle guidance from Rose-Marie MJ whenever you want it.

Perfect for all levels, especially those who love a relaxed, pressure-free approach to art. Come along, take your time, and let the blooms inspire you.

Please bring your own materials.

Embark on a gentle walkabout through our picturesque village of Uley with Rose-Marie MJ to sketch the landscape, wonderful architecture and the unique, quirky elements that make Uley such a distinctive and special location. This is a short, self-led workshop so you’ll have plenty opportunity to capture the beauty of this unique area at your own pace but with gentle guidance from Rose should you need a helping hand on your mark-making.

Whether you’re seeking a moment of mindfulness, aiming to build your sketching skills, or simply wishing to explore something new, you’ll enjoy the freedom to observe, imagine, and express yourself creatively.
